What is the best cult horror movie ever in your opinion.?
Depends on what you mean by “cult”…
I’d have to opt for the original “Night of the Living Dead” (1968). It has gone on to be regarded as something of a classic, but, when it was released, it was about as low-profile as it’s possible for a film to be. Made on a shoestring budget with only a couple of professional actors sprinkled in amongst a bunch of Pittsburgh locals, it was made in glorious gritty black-and-white. It’s SO gritty, in fact, that it has almost a documentary-type of vibe about it. Romero also employed the tactic of having either a radio or television news broadcast playing in the background throughout much of the film, lending to the realistc “breaking news” feel of the events depicted.
